MORE INFO:
This show is written by a woman from real women's stories, will be performed and directed by women, and is a benefit for the women, men, and children in our community. What we love about Love, Loss, and What I Wore is that it uses humor, warmth and sometimes sadness to illustrate the wide and varied experiences women have as we travel through our wonderful and complicated journeys. The play is a series of funny, touching, sometimes sad monologues, and a bit of dialogue, about real women's lives. The stories were compiled and written by the late Nora Ephron. We hope you'll bring your sister, your girfriend, your mom, your wife, your partner, your daughter and your friend to this very special event.

A cash bar will open pre-show at 7:15 and savories and sweets will be served post show courtesy of AGAVA Restaurant.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTION: Will men like this show? YES! Bring your husband, your brother, your best friend! This show is a show for women. . . AND the men who love them!

THE ACTOR’S WORKSHOP OF ITHACA THEATER COMPANY PROUDLY PRESENTS:

MUSEUM by Tina Howe

A LIVELY SATIRE OF MODERN ART AND THE HUMAN CONDITION

On July 12th through the 21st, The Actor’s Workshop of Ithaca will close its second season with an absurdist romp, “Museum.” AWITC’s cast of eighteen walks us through the last day of a current museum show highlighting three artists. The audience will observe an eclectic cast of characters travel through the installation space, an exhibition of modern art at its most flamboyant and provocative. Each character looks at the same art and experiences it completely differently; what does art mean to its makers, what does it convey to collectors, curators, aficionados, browsers, wanderers, and the security guards that watch over it?

By the end of the play a thoughtful yet gently satirical story is woven together through each character’s unique perspective on the art work. And the art work? We can only say that the audience won’t soon forget it!
